I have to say that this was just lovely. They stood like this throughout the whole PK shootout. (It's Andrea Pirlo in the back, and Fabio Cannavaro). Aren't they just so sweet?

Yay for Germany! That was a nice balm to the bitter disappointment of the semifinal. They played wonderfully, with crisp passing and lots of dangerous chances. Schweinsteiger was on FIRE! The France vs. Brazil game today was AWESOME. I had so much fun watching it. France has ended up being the team I've watched the most this world cup (this was the third game of theirs I've seen, and I haven't seen many since I can only watch on the weekends) and I'm really developing affection for them.
